I would like to thank fellow local residents who have taken the time to respond to my community survey (497 returned to date), to talk to me on the doorstep, and contact me about the issues that matter to our community.
Having spent much of the past year listening to the views and concerns of residents of the community wards of Catbrook, Llandogo, Llanishen, Penallt, The Narth, Trellech and Whitebrook, I have set out a six-point plan for our area which have been covered in my recent leaflets delivered to your door:
- Improving the state of local roads.
- Action on speeding.
- Tackling litter and fly-tipping.
- Delivering value for money.
- Investing in local services.
- Better broadband access and mobile signal.
I am a hardworking campaigner who will get things done for our community. I have already taken action to improve road safety; cleaned village and road signage; remove litter and fly-tipping; assisted residents in response to my community survey; lobbied for better broadband; and compiled a list of priorities to work on which is based on the survey completed by residents, if I am fortunate enough to get elected on Thursday.
Every vote will count in this election, and I would be grateful if I can count on your vote and support.
Your polling station is open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 4th May. You can vote with or without your poll card.
We need someone fighting our corner in County Hall and Trellech United deserves a full-time councillor who can commit to the role and deliver a ward that works for everyone, including keeping council tax down and opposing Independent Group and Labour plans for hefty rises. I would be privileged to represent the ward in which my family and I live, and I will not let you down.
Whatever your persuasion, the important matter is that you take the time to vote on Thursday. It’s a meaningful way to back the issues you care about – and the representative you think can best effect the changes you want to see in our community.
P.S. If you have mislaid any of the leaflets that I have delivered to your home since September 2016 (including the community survey), they can be accessed on my website by clicking here. Thank you.
Prospective County Councillor for Trellech United
